Last night was kind of blah in the whole scheme of meals. Boneless pork chops with lemon pepper, onion rice (onion soup mix when your cooking your white rice), and lima beans. But hey, it filled the hole called a stomach and made it stop growling anyway. Plus I finished off my bottle of wine.
However, tonight we have been invited out to a friend's house for dinner for St. Patty's day. They promise to have a real Irish meal with cabbage, potatoes and corned beef (plus Guinness, Irish Whiskey, and coffee with Bailey's). Such a shame, but I can't eat beef. Is it bad when you pick up Chinese to take to someone's house on St. Patty's day?

Get Chinese with LOTS of MSG...
That'll make up for not eating corned beef!
Sometimes porkchops can be done in a skillet and made to be rather tasty! Try a little black pepper, carlic salt and cumin on both sides of the chop and cook in a skillet on medium heat until done. This will sear in the juices and the chop will be tender and tasty! Found you through Ranger Tom's blog. Hope you don't mind me dropping by!
RT- I'd rather keep my sodium levels down and not look like a balloon!
BD- Thanks for the tip- I'll try that next time I cook chops. Thanks for dropping in!
Why can't you eat beef?
Did you make black & tan with the Guinness? Did you take Chinese. My husband doesn't eat any of that food. He would eat the potatoes BUT they were cooked with the cabbage. LOL Anyway he had a fried chicken salad from Zaxby's along with the hosts wife and g-son. The rest of us ate the best damn corned beef and cabbage the teeth have ever introduced to the tongue!!! God I love St. Paddy's day!
leazwell- I have an allergy apparently.
G-mom- No black and tan- but I was shooting an awful lot of Bailey's!
